Welcome to June – Time to Execute

Every time a new month starts there's a new energy. Especially with one of my strengths being a starter, the start of new month and close of the second quarter brings a certain excitement mixed with a sadness. In the midst of this quarter, I've had one of my stronger starts of a quarter since starting my business while simultaneously regularly adjusting my “formula” or strategy to continue to grow my business.

I took a short breather from CBNation.co to focus more on Blue 16 Media which I think was one of my smarter decisions since starting my business. It was not planned, I simply executed based on my quarterly numbers. One of the hardest things to do is to take something you are passionate about and look at things as a business owner instead of as an “artist.” I believe you reach another level when you are able to look at things as a business owner while combining the creativity and passion of a true artist.

It requires maturity and to continue with a plan that I've set in place since announcing that Blue 16 Media and CEO Blog Nation would merge about a year ago. I understood that shift, and I made that change at the beginning of the quarter and it has already paid dividends.

Now, it's time to get back to CBNation and continue to execute on the plan. It's important to continue to grow the community and continue with the spirit of being The Voice of Entrepreneurs. It's important to continue to tell the stories of the entrepreneurs and business owners that are doing phenomenal work and changing their communities and as a result changing the world. Also, don't forget to check our our directory where we merged our multiple directories and the new look of our podcast (CEO Chat).

This June, expect us to get back to producing content. The summer is around the corner, so expect more activity on social media and of course expect more blogging.

Success doesn't necessarily come from breakthrough innovation but from flawless execution. A great strategy alone won't win a game or a battle; the win comes from basic blocking and tackling.
