Prince; The Consummate Entrepreneur [LinkedIn]

His music had an enormous impact on individuals and artists and will for generations to come, whether they realize it or not.  His artistry had the ability to unite people of all races and bring a unique and beautiful clarity to the fact that we really aren't so different from one another.  But, as news stories abound about his life and who he was there are things that ring true to me as an entrepreneur.

  1. Connecting with your inner passion and purpose is extremely powerful.
  2. Success takes hard work and persistence.
  3. You can come from nothing and be successful.

The music he left behind is a gift to be certain but I think a great deal can be learned from his pure, unwavering belief in what he was meant to do.  If we look a bit closer we can be inspired by this and find it in ourselves.

These lessons I picked up there might not save your life, but they might save your business.
