It is honestly mind-boggling to me how most individuals try to do so many things, but refuse to try doing them well.
It doesn’t matter if this is about pursuing the path of being an entrepreneur, being a creative, learning a new skill, or traveling — it all comes down to the same dynamics. They try to do too many things half-assed, but refuse to do one or two things at their very best.
…
Look at all the top performing individuals no matter what they do. In this scenario, it doesn’t matter if it is basketball, entrepreneurship, corporate, marketing, artist, musician, engineer, builder, athlete, etc. — it all comes down to the same dynamic. The best of the best focus on a very few, very defined niches, and then do everything in their power to be the best at what they do.
No distractions. No quantity over quality. No half-assing. These are the keys to success for being the absolute best of the best at what you do. These keys to success have always been available to all of us, yet only a few embrace it, and take it to heart.
The next time you embark on a new journey — whatever that journey may be, go all in. Don’t try to do too many things at once. Embrace being a beginner, with the ambition and goal of being on top in the long-run. Embrace every day as if you are the best at what you do. The results will always speak for themselves, and your friends, colleagues, and family members who continue down the path of trying to do it all, will instead be looking at you, amazed at all you have accomplished, asking for your secrets. When that time comes, share this link with them, and let them know it isn’t too late.
