The end of every year is the opportunity to reflect on a 365-day journey. 2024 may have been a bad year for some; to others, it was a great one. Many businesses were launched and others were closed. Pivots were made and goals were shattered.
In the last few days of 2024, we asked a few entrepreneurs and businesses what their biggest business accomplishments were. Here are the responses.
#1- Launching our new sub-brand
This has been a deeply personal and important project for us, as we've expanded our range to offer gender-affirming underwear that accommodates everyone on the gender spectrum. Creating a space where individuals can feel comfortable and supported in their identity has been a core part of our mission, and the response from our local community in Melbourne has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re excited to keep growing and to continue making a meaningful impact by helping people feel confident and seen!
Thanks to Tracey Cohen, Tuck & Bind!
#2- Creating a supportive virtual team
2024 saw us hire three incredible women to join our team. As a female-founded, owned, and run marketing agency, providing women with flexible working options in this day and age is our top priority. Whether they're returning to the workplace after growing their family, or simply want to shift focus and allow time for their side hustles and passion projects; we're continuing to create a welcoming and supportive virtual team that is all Australian-based.
Thanks to Lyndell Harbeck, Marketing Movement!
#3- Opening a décor and gift store
In 2024, I fulfilled a long-held dream of opening a high-end celebration décor and gift store after years of running a successful e-commerce business in personalized gifting. I found the perfect property, but it came with a surprise, 14 years of untouched hardware, which my family and I had to clear out. After 20 weeks of relentless work, we transformed the space into a stunning retail store with our e-commerce operations running from the warehouse in the back. It's been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of the beautiful store we've created for our community.
Thanks to Deborah Quinn, The Celebration Society!
#4- Having received a grant for the Leopardi conference
My greatest accomplishment in 2024 was securing the Department of Culture and Arts $10000 Short Notice Conference Writer's Grant to attend the Leopardi Writer's Conference in Udine, Italy – 8-12 July 2024. It was an honor to be recognized for my first book, Six for Santiago – a story of personal and professional transformation since launching my consulting business Ideas and Impact in 2014. The conference also gave me the next direction for my work which will build on the story Six for Santiago.
Thanks to Belinda Coniglio, Ideas and Impact!
#5- For using AI to elevate our SEO services
In 2024, I’m especially proud of how we’ve used AI to elevate our SEO services at Helium SEO. One of our major achievements was incorporating advanced AI-powered tools that automate traditionally time-consuming tasks like content optimization and technical audits. This has allowed us to deliver results for clients much more quickly and efficiently. With AI, we’re not just keeping up with industry trends we are actually anticipating them, helping businesses maintain a competitive edge in an ever-changing digital environment.
Thanks to Paul Demott, Helium SEO!
#6- Integrating Kratom into wellness
In 2024, we had a fantastic moment at Kratom Earth with the launch of our “Kratom for Wellness” initiative. This project was all about integrating our kratom supplements into holistic wellness programs at some really amazing health retreats across the country. Our strategy involved forming partnerships, designing holistic wellness programs, and even hosting educational workshops. The positive feedback we received was just incredible. Witnessing how our products improved people's lives reinforced my commitment to our mission.
Thanks to Loris Petro, Kratom Earth!
#7- For adapting and evolving
I'm grateful for how our team adapted and grew in an evolving market. We focused on listening to our customers, improving our product selection, and ensuring that people could easily and efficiently find what they needed. Our commitment to quality and service helped us remain reliable in a competitive environment, and seeing this reflected in positive customer feedback has been truly rewarding. We also expanded our digital reach, allowing us to connect with more people who rely on us. I’m proud of the collective effort our team put into navigating new challenges.
Thanks to Jason Horner, Tabshop!
#8- Sustainable service innovations
I’m proud of how Theme Park Brochures has grown into more than just a website for maps. We’ve expanded to over 1,000 parks, but the best part has been building a community around it. People have started sharing their own memories and experiences with the maps, which adds a personal touch I wasn’t expecting. It’s amazing to see how something as simple as a map can bring back memories for families and park enthusiasts. Watching this evolve into a place where people connect over their love for theme parks has been really special.
Thanks to Huw Williams, Man and Van Wembley!
#9- For overcoming economic challenges
I'm proud of the fact that we were able to grow and expand this year and to serve the largest number of bachelorette parties in our company's history. People continue to come out and celebrate their bachelorette parties even with high prices and inflation. Initially, we thought that the tough economic climate would pose challenges for the entertainment industry but we've been able to lower our price point to accommodate as many clients as possible. Overall it has been a tough year but I am proud of my team for working so hard given the economic environment that we are in.
Thanks to Andrew Chan, Exotique Men!
#10- Launch of new-line of pickleball paddles
In 2024, I’m incredibly proud of how far 101 Pickleball has come. This year, we launched a new line of high-quality, eco-friendly pickleball paddles, which was a huge milestone that required significant research, design, and collaboration with sustainable material suppliers. The response from customers and the pickleball community has been fantastic. We also expanded our reach by making our products more accessible nationwide. I also focused on building a stronger team culture, emphasizing innovation and customer feedback in our processes.
Thanks to Michael Chien, 101 Pickleball!
#11- Navigated market shifts successfully
One of the highlights has been working with a mix of residential and commercial properties, each with its own set of challenges but also opportunities. Seeing clients expand their portfolios and make confident decisions in uncertain times has been a rewarding part of this year. Additionally, we’ve focused on building stronger relationships with financial partners. These connections have opened doors to more flexible financing options for our clients. It’s about maintaining that balance between staying agile in the market and keeping client goals front and center.

Seeing the increased adoption of crypto in our region and knowing we’re playing a part in that is incredibly rewarding. It’s been a year of growth and innovation for us, and I’m excited to keep pushing forward.
Thanks to Jordan Figueredo, Pelicoin!
#14- Expanding access to healing
I expanded my services to include more virtual therapy sessions which enabled me to connect with clients from various backgrounds and locations. This year, I successfully launched a dedicated mental health program catering specifically to high-achievers dealing with burnout and stress. Through this initiative, I witnessed remarkable personal growth in my clients, as they tapped into their authentic selves. Collaborating with other mental health professionals in workshops allowed us to share insights and foster a supportive community.

One of my proudest accomplishments in 2024 is expanding Cool Beans Underwear into the sports tech market after gaining significant validation in the fertility industry. Our product, the world’s first testicular cooling medical device, is now helping athletes and men everywhere optimize their testosterone levels, fertility, and overall health. #18- Launching a global campaign to drive growth
One of our biggest accomplishments in 2024 was launching a global campaign that helped a startup break into new markets. We helped them scale their SEO strategy, and within six months, they were ranking on the first page for highly competitive keywords in three countries. The most exciting part? It wasn’t just traffic, we saw a 50% increase in their inbound leads, directly impacting their bottom line. For us, success is not just about the technical wins but also about the fact that we’ve helped another business achieve its full potential.
Thanks to Sahil Kakkar, RankWatch!

I'm proud of our adaptability and innovation in a challenging market. We launched a successful rent-to-own program. We expanded our energy-efficient properties. We developed a community-focused mixed-use project. We used AI to optimize operations. We closed our largest commercial deal to date. These gains boosted profits. They also improved housing access, sustainability, and local economies. By finding innovative solutions to market challenges, we've strengthened our position. This has set a solid base for future growth.

Each portrait I’ve created this year has become a cherished memory for my clients, strengthening my brand’s reputation for meaningful, bespoke artwork. Additionally, I expanded my creative journey by launching a children’s picture book, blending my love for storytelling with illustration. This new venture has opened doors to new audiences and cemented my passion for bringing joy through art.
Thanks to Bec Hopson, Pablo Pandani!

This past year has been incredibly satisfying and humbling for my firm. We've expanded our presence in the community by taking on more pro bono cases, which has allowed us to impact those in need of legal assistance significantly. Also, we successfully negotiated several multimillion-dollar settlements for our clients, helping them secure the resources necessary to rebuild their lives. It’s not just about friends and family; our previous clients are now actively recommending us. It’s great to see how people genuinely want to spread the word. On top of that, investing in our team has really paid off. Regular training workshops focused on customer service and safety have improved the quality of our service. These features mean a lot to us in our first year of business. It has been such a challenge getting up and going and getting visibility – so these were both huge moments for us.
Thanks to Olivia Gordon, The Kairos Child!
#29- Expanding access to mental health
In 2024, I’m incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made at Mid City TMS in expanding access to mental health care, especially for those struggling with treatment-resistant depression. We’ve grown our team, added new technology, and enhanced our patient care to ensure that more people can benefit from Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. I’m also proud of our efforts to raise awareness about non-invasive mental health treatments, helping to destigmatize seeking help for conditions like depression and anxiety.
Thanks to Dr. Bryan Bruno, Mid City TMS!
#30- For empowering customers and building trust
I used a “pay what you want” strategy for specific products in my e-commerce business in 2024, and it proved to be really beneficial. I wanted to see if people would value our products differently when they had control over the price. What made me proud was the trust it built between us and our customers. Seeing them pay more than expected showed that they truly valued what we offered, which felt incredibly rewarding. The combination of urgency and pricing freedom made people feel more engaged.
